A close-up of an Alpaca on a farm in northern Utah. The Alpaca is camelid mammal, native to South America, and closely related to the Llama. Alpaca are naturally found at high altitudes in the Andes mountains of Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador. Alpaca fiber, called wool by some is commonly used in the making of blankets and clothing.
