Description
A plaque commemorating the founding of the city of Louisville, Kentucky in 1780. Located on the former site of Fort Nelson, the official location of Louisville's founding by George Rogers Clark. It was the second fort founded in the area, and eventually would be replaced by Fort Finney in 1784. Located on the opposite side of the river, it was located on the site of what would eventually become Jeffersonville, IN.
